Separate TTL settings for Completed vs. Failed/Canceled Downloads

Under Consideration

Currently, JetBackup applies a single Time-To-Live (TTL) setting for all downloaded backups in the workspace. In a shared hosting environment (like cPanel), we need to give users a generous window (e.g., 15 days) to download their prepared backups.

However, if a download fails or is manually canceled/aborted by the user, these incomplete files remain in the workspace for the exact same 15-day period. This unnecessarily consumes the end-user's disk quota, drastically inflates their "Other Usage" in cPanel, and triggers false "disk full" warnings, leading to increased support tickets.

Proposed Solution: Please introduce two separate TTL configurations:

  1. Download TTL: For completed, ready-to-download files.
  2. Failed/Aborted Download TTL: A shorter, separate setting (e.g., 1 day or immediate cleanup) specifically for tasks that did not complete successfully.

This will greatly optimize disk space management for hosting providers.

Implementing a 'Failed/Aborted Download TTL' (ideally with a 24-hour default) would significantly reduce storage bloat and improve the overall user experience. This is a must-have for hosting providers using JetBackup with cPanel.
