Snapshot backup for Vs 5

Under Consideration

I would like to see the ability for a client to make a snapshot of their site (not their full account) before making upgrades or changes. That is what is mentioned as the purpose of a Snapshot, but the baility to do so is not their yet.

Yes we can make an OnDemand Backup for the account, and yes we can remove certain areas (cpanel config, mail etc.)... however once we remove those folders... the client should be left with the ability to chose the folder of the site he is working on (in the case of a cPanel with multiple domains hosted).

Hello Kenneth,

Thank you for leaving your feedback and opening a feature request. To clarify, the Backup on Demand feature is designed to allow users the ability to generate a Full Account Backup of their account which will include all the files/folders and panel configurations that JetBackup would need to restore an account.

We will be reviewing your request to have domain-level snapshots and provide updates accordingly. Please note that we utilize the voting system to gauge demand for new features. The more votes a request has, the more likely it will be up for consideration by our developers.

Thank you,

The JetApps Team

To clarify...

We have users with huge email accounts... there is no need for all that email to be backed up every time they want to do a snapshot of their website before making an update or change. So we don't want them to have to make a full account backup... we want the ability for them to make a quick and fast "Snapshot" of their website only... which would have to include database and users of course in the instances where the site is database generated like Wordpress.

What we currently use is an On Demand backup made to the local server with several folders removed. Some users may have more than one site on their cPanel... so the ability to pick only one of those sites would be helpful. (select only that domain's site folder for the Snapshot.)
