Incremental Backup Encryption

Under Consideration

Please add the ability to encrypt incremental backups. The only encryption that jetbackup supports is for archived or compressed backups which are very inefficient and take up massively more storage space than incremental backups.

Woah, we just found out that this is not currently possible 😲

This is a sorely needed feature as there shouldn't be a backup job in the world that isn't encrypted now days.

While sorely needed, there needs to be an option to disable backup encryption completely just in case you have to bring a new server online due to a server failure and not have to just through all the hoops to do restores for a fresh JB5 install.

This is now actually a condition for cybersecurity certification and compliance in Canada (and likely elsewhere).
