Retry option for Failed Account Backup in JetBackup 5

Hello,

Please add an option where we can Retry a failed particular account backup using the "Retry" button in Logs Summary.


This feature was added in JetBackup 4 on my request https://request.jetapps.com/topic/retry-option-only-for-failed-backup-accounts.


Waiting for this feature in JetBackup 5.

Hello Everyone,


As part of our team's plan to implement the retry feature in JetBackup 5, we'd like to update you that we recently added a new feature in JetBackup 5 v5.2.8 (Available on the EDGE Tier as of this posting) that allows JetBackup to retry processing an account backup at the backup item level. With this feature enabled, Jetbackup will simply retry processing the backup item ONCE right after a backup item fails, instead of having to reprocess the entire account backup.


You can enable this feature on each Backup Job by going to your Backup Job settings and enabling the "Retry failed items" option:f37da2d006ddce9697dc46796495292e


We look forward to hearing and gathering your feedback with this new option and we are also considering adding the option to set the number of retries depending on the feedback that we receive.

We need this one too :-)


And even better have JB5 doing the retrying automatically as it could move failed jobs to the end of the cPanel queue (in the backup process) and this way retrying them in the end of the backup process where they properly will be successful.


We spend too much time doing this manually so for us something that running automatically will be best :-)

As for automatically retrying for a partially completed/failed account at the end of the backup job, we will review your request and provide updates accordingly. Please note, as this seems like a slightly different feature request, you can feel free to open a new feature request so individuals can vote for this item, specifically.

We'd like to thank you for proposing the idea of adding failed accounts to the back of the queue for a few automated reattempts. We are pleased to let you know that when this request was brought up to our team, they had this plan in mind, alongside the retry button.


Both these items are now planned for JetBackup 5.
