Just a follow up to update on our progress and roadmap ahead...

As you may have noted, "JetBackup for Linux" was just released. This will be used as a basic foundation for other control panel implementation.

Our next step will be to design the core & tools for "Control panel implementation" (any control panel). Once we are there, we should be able to release full developers tools & documentation allowing any control panel to interact with JetBackup.

We will probably need some help from Plesk developers with that making it easier and faster.

Stay tuned! :)

Just wanted to send a post that this would be great. We have converted servers over to DA and Plesk from cPanel and want to continue offering JetApps and JetBackup offerings.

Hi,

Thank you for this request.

We will consider this implementation and update here accordingly.

Hello guys, it is taking too long to develop this plugin.

Is there an upcoming release date?

photo

We need this plugin ASAP for Plesk, you guys job is amazing and the Plesk native backups are too much a crap.

HI Jetbackup team.

Like everyone else I'm monitoring your development of JB and hoping to see this for Plesk & DA very soon.

do you have any teasers to share? or eta's?

Hi Chris,

We recently just announced the targeted Public ALPHA release of JetBackup for DirectAdmin! Please check the following link below for more information:

https://request.jetapps.com/topic/support-for-direct-admin#comment-540

And just to add, the DirectAdmin plugin is also based on our new JetBackup 5 Core, which will be the foundation for our future JetBackup releases for other platforms and panels, including Plesk.

Thank You,

Anton, JetApps Team.

Hello,

I too am looking for support for Plesk. We would buy dozens more licenses if Plesk is supported.

Thanks,

Stephane

When is jetbackup available for plesk

photo

I also want to know, I've been waiting for JetBackup for Plesk for a long time.

photo

The wait is getting ridiculous now, if funds are required I'm pretty sure huge amounts of Plesk users are more than happy to fund the plugin & pay!

Hello Everyone,

Thank you for the continued interest in JetBackup for Plesk! We have received lots of great feedback on our Initial Stable release of JetBackup 5 and we can't wait to add support for Plesk as we continue our efforts in improving and introducing new features in JetBackup 5. We don't have an ETA for Plesk support quite yet but it is our next big milestone once Ubuntu/Debian support is out, which is currently in progress.

We appreciate everyone's patience and excitement and would like to encourage everyone to stay tuned for updates on our official channels.

We need this plugin for Plesk, and the Plesk native backups are too much a crap, cant work with that

Any update on this?

Hello everyone,

Thank you for your continued patience with this feature request. As you may know, we recently released JetBackup 5 versions that are supported on Ubuntu and Debian Systems! With that being said, our developers have begun major implementations of JetBackup 5 for Plesk and will soon begin internal testing of this version. After internal testing is complete the package will move to our QA team to perform another round of tests before being released to the EDGE tier. We still don't have an ETA for this release at this time but will provide further updates once the next big milestone is reached.

We appreciate everyone's patience and excitement and would like to encourage everyone to stay tuned for updates on our official channels.

Thank you,

JetApps Team

Hello,

Any updates on this, please?

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out for an update regarding Plesk Support! Our team has begun pushing internal builds for our QA team and has been working with the Plesk Team as well to help identify and address integration issues. With this in mind, I'd also like to share that we have also begun working on PHP 8 Support for our JetBackup 5 codebase, which is our next main milestone to complete for Plesk support.

With that said, thank you for continuing to support JetBackup 5's development and we hope to provide you with more updates soon!

Best Regards,

JetApps Team

We are waiting for the jet backup

Please let us know the latest status of the project

Hello

Any idea now about the Plesk Jetbackup ?

photo
photo

Guys,

We really need this!! Have an ETA?

photo
1

Any updates on this please team?

photo
1

Just exited a trial as PLESK was not available and no install options to get around that at present. Also no ETA as it stands so maybe 2022 could be unrealistic for this. I will be back though if anything changes. Thanks

photo
1

With the (yet another) cPanel price hike, I think this will be in much larger demand soon. I'm already looking at migrating all of our cPanel accounts over to Plesk, but Jetbackup is a must-have!

photo
1

I know there are milestones before this can be a reality, so do you have any updates at all re: "working on PHP 8 Support for our JetBackup 5 codebase, which is our next main milestone to complete for Plesk support."?

I suspect Plesk support will not be able to manifest in 2022, but still holding out hope for early 2023 at least?

photo
2

Thank you for reaching out! Regarding an update on "working on PHP 8 Support for our JetBackup 5 codebase, which is our next main milestone to complete for Plesk support.", our current roadmap has PHP 8 support coming with JetBackup v5.3.0. Our conservative estimate for 5.3.0 is Q1 2023. After PHP 8 integration arrives with 5.3.0, our next major milestone for JetBackup 5 is support for Plesk!

Thank you,

The JetApps Team

I really hope we start to see some kind of update on this soon.

Feels like it's been dragging for years.

I've spoken to a number of big providers who are keen to move to Plesk, but only if JetBackup is supported. Plesk is a great panel, but their internal backup solution is limited.

Did I leave this month? There are thousands of orders.

Are there any updates on this?

You would have thought so. But no. Only 3 years have gone by.

Yep, it has become ridiculous.

Hello,

We are excited to announce that JetBackup 5.3.0 is now available for public ALPHA, allowing us to further our commitment to extending support for additional panels. Our team is working closely with the Plesk team, and we anticipate that we will be able to share more about our progress by the end of Q2 2023. Thank you for your ongoing support for JetBackup for Plesk!

Best Regards,

The JetApps Team

photo

Finally! Thank you JetApps. How do we get access to the public ALPHA?

photo
1

Finally! awesome..

photo
1

Hello,

Just to clarify, support for the Plesk control panel is not yet available in JetBackup 5.

Our recent statement was intended to convey our commitment to extending support for additional control panels, including Plesk, in future releases of JetBackup. Our development team is actively working with the Plesk team, and we anticipate being able to provide updates on our progress by the end of Q2 2023.

We will be sure to provide an update on how to access JetBackup for Plesk as soon as it is available!

Thank you for your understanding and support.

Best Regards,

The JetApps Team

Ugh. Talk about a let-down! You pick us up and then drop us again like a sack of potatoes.

@ Matt Groves must be some secret deal with Web Pros to leave Jetbackup for cPanel use only while Plesk is stuck with expensively ridiculous Acronis :)

Is there only Jetbackup as an alternative to Plesk? (which doesn't even exist yet) What's so good and magical about it that there isn't another competing alternative on the market for Plesk?

photo
2

Jetbackup is FAR superior to all other tools available for Plesk. Most of them only allow backups once per day.

When can we expect to see this released into the Plesk Extension store?

If you log a ticket with jetapps support they will send the details of how to install it. I’m testing at the moment without their assistance to install.

Do we have a date/timeframe of when this extension is likely to make it to a stable release?
