Option to receive only daily / 6-hourly summary emails, instead of at every backup with hourlybackup
Completed
When doing hourly backups, we should have an option to get the notification email only
- Once Per Day
- Twice Per Day
- At the end of every backup (Currently the case)
to select from
This will avoid getting too many emails when we manage tens of servers
Thanks
Hi Jacques,
I would like to provide an update regarding this feature. On JetBackup 5, which was just release to Stable Tier, users now have the ability to select the Frequency in which they receive Information/Warning/Critical alerts. The options being Real Time (immediately after an event) or Once a Day. Please see the image below:
Along with this feature, JetBackup 5 introduces its brand new Notification plugins, which allow you to set up alerts to many new options including Slack and Google Hangouts. For more information please visit https://docs.jetbackup.com/v5.1/adminpanel/Plugins/notificationplugins.html.
We thank you for your patience and continued support of our product!
Best Regards,
Richard, JetApps Team

Hi,
Thank you for your feedback :)
I've forwarded this to our devs for consideration, however as a "quick & dirty" solution, I would recommend turning off all email alerts and use our hook points to shoot an email when needed.
https://docs.jetbackup.com/manual/whm/Hooks/createNewHook.html
I would use the "Backup done" hook, do some php/bash magic to determine if an email is needed and take action accordingly.
