Would love to have the ability for the job to run 4 - 5 backup accounts at once, instead of 1 at a time.
This would speed up the restore process for large servers.

This doesn't work in the way it was intended in this feature request.
The idea is that 1 backup job, could perform say 5 cPanel backups at once. Setting 'Concurrent Scheduled Tasks' does not do this.

Seems like you are correct, apparently we closed the wrong issue here.
We do have an open internal issue for this feature, it's planned for v4.1 (since there are major core changes to implement this).
We are now re-opening this issue and will update accordingly.

Is there any progress / ETA on this please? I believe this to be the number one feature missing. We have now set up 7 seperate backup jobs on the servers, each applying a filter where we group by first character of the username, but some of these tasks happen to include the large accounts, so they still run longer.
I really don't understand why this feature hasn't been prioritised more...
