Restore folder without overwriting files

Would be nice to be able to restore a folder w/o deleting the destination folder before restoring it and skip existing files.

This way, when a user deletes half of his emails we ca restore missing emails.Or any case were missing files have to be restored.

This would be a great idea, mainly because of the issue this gives with emails. Emails should never be deleted when restoring a backup :)

And it would work not just for emails but for cases were you would need to keep files that don't exist when the backup was made.

This should really be prioritized and implemented. IMO it's a very big/bad omission. We should be able to select if we need for the restore to delete existing files prior (ex: for cases of security breaches) or not (ex: for email account restores). We were in the process of migrating over from R1Soft but this problem is a big one.

100% agree - this is a big issue and honestly a design flaw that should not exist in a paid-for product.

Hi Guys,

Thank you for your continued interest in this feature and support for JetBackup!

I'd just like to share that this feature has been integrated on our new JetBackup core, JetBackup 5! With this new core, you will have the option to Merge live account data with backup data, not only with emails but the user's home directory files as well!

This new core will serve as the underlying foundation for all our upcoming major JetBackup updates and releases across multiple platforms, including JetBackup for DirectAdmin(out now on Alpha) and JetBackup for cPanel which we expect to release late this year.

If you are interested to test this feature out in Jetbackup 5 for DirectAdmin, please visit the following link for more instructions: https://request.jetapps.com/topic/support-for-direct-admin

Please follow this feature request as well as our social media channels for the latest announcements and updates. Thank you for your patience and continued support of JetBackup!
