Statistics about backup

Having more statistics about each backup job would be great.

This could be seeing a sorted list of how long time each account took to backup. If an account takes 15 minutes to backup each day, there might be a bunch of cache files that should be excluded.

Hello Everyone,

We are excited to announce the release of JetBackup 5 to the STABLE Tier! JetBackup 5 is our fastest, most secure, versatile, and reliable version yet!

In this new version, we have provided quality updates to our logs and queue sections to provide you with more information regarding your backups.

1. We have added "Total Time and Actual Time" to Queue and Log sections.

- These two new items will give you information about how long a Backup Job took to complete. Actual Time represents the amount of time a backup job took processing the backup and transferring to destinations. Where the Total Time represents the Actual Time and any extra time the Backup Job spent waiting in the Queue.

2. Log Summary - "Total Execution Time and Status"

- The log summary section under the Logs Page allows you to see how much time was spent on each account and whether that account completed the backup or had errors. These fields are sortable making it easy for you to troubleshoot any issues within the backup job.

You can already do this by looking at the backup logs - you won't get a sorted list, but you'll get a list of usernames and their backup time, so it should be fairly easy to scroll through the list - and see what stands out

grep 'Account ".*"\|Time spent on this account' /usr/local/jetapps/var/log/jetbackup/backup/backup_XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX_XXXXXXXXXXXXXX.log

Thank you for this query :)

This sounds like a nice feature - I will take it to our dev meeting for consideration and implementation.

Hi, Just following up on this.

I'm currently trying to diagnose the the speed of our backups and this would be super handy to know which accounts are taking the longest.

Thanks.
